Recruitment

Objective

The objective of recruitment efforts at Health is to recruit talented and motivated students for all our degree programmes.

It is important to us that both Danish and international applicants can make conscious and reflective choices of degree programmes on a well-informed and objective basis. This is important to ensure a good match between student and degree programme.

That is why we offer:

Good degree programme information that demonstrates the content and requirements of the degree programmes and provides knowledge about student life

Guidance that helps individuals reflect on the selection process

Important for you at Health

Students

As part of our recruitment efforts, students have an opportunity to learn more about:

  • Themselves, their ambitions and prerequisites
  • Content and structure of the degree programme
  • Programme requirements and conditions
  • Job market opportunities during and after the degree programme.
  • Lecturers and course coordinators

As a lecturer, you contribute to our recruitment efforts by participating in events and providing potential applicants with knowledge about the academic content of the degree programme. In particular, you can help clarify the expectations of students in relation to working method and workload, and by describing the academic content of the degree programme.

Boards of studies and directors of studies

The board of studies regularly considers the application and admission figures. The board of studies can contribute to recruitment initiatives by helping to clarify an honest and true narrative about the degree programme, which we are responsible for communicating through our recruitment activities.

The board of studies can also initiate additional recruitment activities in addition to those at AU level.

Our process for recruitment activities

Health participates in all the cross-disciplinary, joint recruitment activities undertaken by AU. These include:

  • U-days
  • Study trials
  • SubUniveristy
  • Yourniversity

The Student Counsellors' Office at Health coordinates our participation in the joint recruitment activities. The planning follows an annual schedule, so that the various recruitment activities are carried out well in advance of the application deadline for admission to our degree programmes.

AU will conduct an evaluation after all major recruitment events. We revise our websites with degree programme descriptions for future students on an annual basis. We send the texts to the academic environments to ensure that the information is correct.
