At Arts, we take our point of departure in AU's overall quality assurance policy when ensuring high-quality, coherent degree programmes for our students. More specifically, this means that we focus on the knowledge base, organisation and framework for the development of degree programmes, with input from ongoing teaching evaluations. Read more about this on the subpages in the sub-policy.
AU wants to offer degree programmes that are based on the deepest academic knowledge, have a clear and coherent structure, and demonstrate a close connection between learning objectives, learning activities, and forms of examination
At AU, degree programmes must be firmly anchored in the university’s active research and knowledge environments. The programmes must be developed, organised, and delivered in close interaction with active researchers and teachers who have insight into the latest research. As role models, teachers must contribute to ensuring that students acquire the newest knowledge within the discipline and practise its methods.
The structure of each education program must create motivation, clear connections, and academic progression between the program's various disciplines and elements. There must be a visible and understandable link between the determination of ECTS credits for individual courses and the actual workload. The goal is to ensure a consistent workload throughout and across the studies.
