The objective of the status review meetings is to review the status of a degree programme’s quality, strengths and weaknesses with an aim to developing the quality of the programme. The status review meeting is an annual dialogue between key stakeholders for the degree programme (see meeting participants). The purpose of the meeting is also to follow up on actions and development activities initiated since the last status review meeting.
The status review meeting ensures focus on the areas of the degree programme where preventive or reactive efforts are needed. Key indicators are reviewed, but also the development over time. The meeting is a chance to identify concrete and potential challenges and discuss how they can be prevented or mitigated in the future. For example, meeting participants may choose to discuss how critical teaching evaluations can be improved, or how to prevent high dropout rates in the first year of study.
In preparation for the annual status review meeting, the heads of degree programme take stock of last year’s action plan and prepare staffing plans. Together with the PowerBI quality indicators, this constitutes the data basis for the annual status. On 1 April, the quality indicators are updated in PowerBI.
