Producing academic regulations
Producing academic regulations and thereby formulating academic objectives, choosing forms of examination and agreeing on course content are important academic and educational activities. The process involves a number of stakeholders, and academic traditions and preferences play a role, which is why a process plan for developing academic regulations has been drawn up. Fundamental academic discussions are often an important part of developing academic regulations, which makes for a both time-consuming and complex process. Nevertheless, it is an important task, providing an opportunity to revisit and discuss the academic core of the degree programme. This also ensures that the academic core of the programme will not be determined by the specific fields of expertise of the individual members of the teaching staff. It is therefore important to have an understanding of the many roles in the work og academic regulations.
